What is NACE?
The
National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) is a
non-profit organization whose mission is to promote fellowship,
education and professionalism in the catering industry.
In addition to continual educational opportunities for
its members through our monthly Chapter programs and the
annual NACE Educational Conference, the Honolulu Chapter
prides itself in being able to provide scholarships to
students interested in pursuing careers in the catering/food
service field.
What is NACE all about?
- NACE is about building great business relationships
not only locally, but on a national level.
- NACE is about making a difference in a student’s
life by providing scholarships or serving as a
mentor.
- NACE is about encouraging the professional development
of caterers through voluntary participation in
its certification program. Achievement of the Certified
Professional Catering Executive (CPCE) designation
demonstrates expertise in catering earned by taking
a comprehensive examination that covers all aspects
of professional catering.
- NACE is about new experiences (have you ever
seen a walking buffet, seen chafing dishes on a
chain fence, or attended a USO show on an aircraft
carrier?)
Our Honolulu NACE Chapter meets on the second Tuesday
of every month at 6:30pm at various venues which allows
our hoteliers and restaurants the opportunity to showcase
their facilities and for our members to experience
a variety of ambiences, food, décor and entertainment.
Our
growing chapter is comprised of catering directors,
sales managers, off-premise caterers, décor
specialists, private clubs, wedding consultants, disc
jockeys, videographers, tent rental suppliers, food
and wine purveyors, party rental suppliers and many
more.
Make the time to invest in yourself and to give back
to our community.
